  [이탈리아] 튜린 지방법원은 석면관련하여 6명의 경영진에 유죄를 선고

이탈리아 북쪽에 위치한 도시, 튜린의 법원은 테크시드(Teksid)사의 전(前) 경영진에게 유죄를 선고했다. 테크시드는 자동차산업에서 1위의 철주조 업체이지만, 작업장에서 석면노출로 노동자들이 사망하거나 현재 투병중이다.

지금까지 15명의 퇴직자가 사망했으며 2명은 중피종으로 투병중이다. 중피종은 희귀한 형태의 암이지만 석면 노출과 관련이 있다.

판사는 전 경영진에게 튜린사업장의 배기 시스템이 정상적이지 못해서 1978~1989년간 노동자들에게 석면이 노출된 원인으로 지목했다.

6명의 전 경영진에게는 1년에서 5년의 징역형이 선고되었다.
